Juliane Sari Manurung (Debbie)

Debbie is a distinguished intellectual property litigator and a registered intellectual property attorney, as well as an accredited consultant in plant varieties protection and a certified arbitrator in Indonesia. She is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia/PERADI) and holds a valid license to practice in Indonesian courts. With over 20 years of extensive experience in intellectual property law and government relations, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her field.

Before joining SNP Law Firm, Debbie held the position of Partner at an internationally affiliated firm, where she successfully led the Dispute Resolution Team. This marked her second tenure in a leadership role within a multinational-affiliated firm, and she gained exposure serving international clients while she was a Country Director for an Asian regional firm. Debbie has acted as lead counsel in several high-profile patent revocation cases and major bad faith trademark litigations, as well as in various enforcement actions against the violation of the rights of well-known brand owners.

As the Council Member representing Indonesia in the ASEAN Intellectual Property Association (ASEAN IPA), the Executive Officer of the Indonesia Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Board (BAM HKI), and a member of the Expert Council for the Indonesian Registered IP Attorneys Association (AKHKI), she plays a pivotal role in advancing law reform. She is also active in raising the IP protection to support SMEs and Start-up Companies serving as a Facilitator at several Creative Economy Body’s events and by hosting a seminar in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
